The Camp Yomeca Experience: The Camp Yomeca experience provides children ages 5-13 with an opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills, develop their character, build their self esteem, and feel safe and accepted.

Children leave camp each day better for their experience, having felt valued and appreciated. Children gain a sense of independence, learning to succeed and fail with dignity, sportsmanship and courage.

Camp teaches children how to appreciate the accomplishments of others, how to make others feel valued, and fosters responsibility. By watching and emulating their role models children learn to display good manners, conduct themselves positively and challenge themselves to be better people.

Camp is a home away from home where children grow and develop to their fullest potential. Most of all, Camp is a place where a child is a child free from the worries of peer pressure, bullying and the search to be accepted.

At Camp every child feels welcome and part of something bigger than themselves. They are a part of a community where their individuality is welcomed and supported.

As an added value to your child's camp experience, we now offer daily swim instruction for all children enrolled in our Traditional and Specialty Camps. Our aquatics staff will conduct 30 minute YMCA swim lessons, which will teach basic skills and water safety. All campers will be tested and placed at the appropriate level according to their ability. Following each lesson will be 30 minutes of recreational swimming.
